I don't think he is an idiot and it is good that He merely sees through big business lobbyists and supporters, and attends to the people who truly matter.

The best I found in this post is a truth which is , that since the creation of the Federal Reserve, Americans have fallen to the mercy of cyclical monetary policy and recessive economic conditions. Thanks for letting me know about this .

Certainly, Libertarian ideals and philosophies truly do appeal to the general masses right? After all, we've never seen corporate influence greatly outdo the basic set of rights set out by world organizations, the UN perhaps.. which he ironically wants to abolish, anyways as I was saying, corporations will not make for a better society, please take a look at some places where failed laissez-faire philosophies have managed to fuck over the general public.. Latin America perhaps would be a good place to start.
Oh, also on a side note.. The way Ron Paul speaks is in my experience something that I have found to be very common among libertarians.. he presents his views on the world as if they are complete FACT, where this is not the case at all. Its manipulative.

Really though, I suppose thats just my opinion. I see and talk to these ron paul supporters everyday and all they do is respond with ron paul rhetoric when I ask them WHY they believe what they believe. I think it's because it sounds good to them, I mean who doesn't love the word "freedom" or "revolution"?

Your headline sure drew me in, lol. It's amazing how the mainstream media won't even recognize him. The problem is he can't explain his stance in a 30 second sound byte so the layman can understand. When you say get rid of the IRS, it sounds like an act of lunacy. But, if you let him explain why, it completely makes sense. Also, it's not just the rational people who support him. It's also the "crazies". Those are the people the media likes to focus on.

I can agree with you on this subject. But can you tell me why Ron Paul thinks he can pull our soldiers out of the middle east. He claims that he wants to cut spending but if we pull these soldiers out then the unrest in the middle east will most likely hit an all time high. Which will lead to an increase in the price per barrel of oil, since they don't like us anyway. After they make enough money to ramp up their military and we will have to go back and spend more on beating them back.
What is you view RJ

"Why silver, why gold?"

Well, one crucial reason for silver and gold is that only silver and gold are authorized to be made legal tender by the constitution. If someone can make a convincing case for some other basis for our currency, then let them do so, propose an amendment to the constitution to supersede the gold and silver clause, and get it through ratification. Until and unless that happens, our current fiat money system is not merely illegal and fraudulent, it is unconstitutional.
